US-CD and US-Cassette Panel systems

U.S. Metals has developed two similar rain screen systems of siding that have a modular, modern appearance. The US-Cassette panel system that is dry-fit and the panels can be fabricated in a variety of square and rectangular sizes. This system is easy to install and self aligns itself. US-Cassette panel joints are 5/8” nominal and panel depth is 1” nominal.

The US-CD panel system is installed using clips which allow the panels to expand and contract unrestricted. Panels can be aligned or staggered, plus, each panel can have the same relief dimension or varied dimensions to create a siding with varied panel depths ranging from 1” to 2”. US-CD panel joints are 5/8” nominal.

Recommended substrate for both the US-CD Panel System and US-Cassette Panel System is ¾” plywood. The vapor barrier must be metal appropriate, such as Tyvek.
